As with any fire department, the San Francisco Fire Department`s truck is evident by the telescoping aerial ladder, seen here extended. Also, the front and rear wheals are controlled independently, with their own operator. This is seen from the independent cab in the very back of the truck. The independent wheal control allows for greater mobility through tighter spaces.
In addition to the onboard mounted ladder, there are additional ladders as well as specialized equipment stored in the compartments.These can include ropes; medical rescue; and hoses.
