AIt's easy, just insert this ID number in the search box and hit Search. This should take you straight to the image you're looking for.
Top ↑
QHow do I delete/disable my account?
ATo delete or disable your account, please contact support here. Accounts with no activity whatsoever can be deleted from our records. Accounts with activity (downloads, transactions etc) can be disabled from the online database if you no longer wish to use them. We will however keep an offline record of your purchase/download for license liability reasons.

QI don't have a credit card or a Paypal account. How can I buy one of your plans?
AWe have customers from all over the world and we accept cards issued by any bank, as long as they are internationally valid. We strongly encourage you to contact your local bank and request an international credit card.
Top ↑
QWhere did my file download? Where did I save it?
AThe location of the saved file may depend on your OS version and browser type. Internet Explorer on some WIN operating systems may save the file in the Temporary Internet Files folder, while some Mac browsers will save it on the desktop. You can perform a search after the latest JPG files located on your computer that include "dreamstime" in their filename. As this happens only on the some systems, the best choice would be to try to download the file again in order to be able to specify the desired location.

QI want to change my email. Can I do that? How?
AEmails can be changed from our side end exclusively. Send support your request including the new email. When you select this new email, we recommend you always check availability.
Top ↑
QAll your images seem to be watermarked. How do I get non-watermarked images?
AFor copyright protection reasons, all thumbnails displayed in your searches and on our site pages include a transparent watermark (our logo as a semi-transparent layer centered on the image). The high-resolution version you will download (using the download button) is free of any watermarks.

QI want to use your media. Which license do I select?
AOur media can be downloaded under various license agreements, depending on the usage intended. All our media can be downloaded under the standard Royalty Free license which is suitable for most usage types. This is also the least expensive license. There are times when this license may not fit your usage so you need to check the additional extended licenses which grant you additional usage rights. To check which license is appropriate for your usage, please see our Terms or contact support.
Top ↑
QWhat can I use your Royalty Free media for?
AYou can use our media for a variety of purposes. The standard Royalty free license for instance allows you to illustrate websites, decorate you home or office, create advertising posters, flyers, postcards and any other promotional material of this type, create unique interior designs, illustrate books and CD covers and booklets, illustrate magazine articles and covers or newspapers, create wrappings for different products, create posters for humanitarian campaigns or social campaigns, create company presentations. Additional usages are available provided you acquire extended licenses – web templates, postcards, t-shirts or any item incorporating the media in essential manner meant for sale or distribution.
Top ↑
QWhat does Royalty free mean? Are the media free?
ARoyalty free is the name of the standard license in our industry. It basically means you pay for the media license only once and you do not pay royalties for each subsequent usage. The Royalty free media cannot be downloaded free of charge unless otherwise specified so you need to pay a license fee. The standard Royalty free license is the least expensive license on our site, it is granted in perpetuity and it is worldwide valid.
Top ↑
QWhere can I see if I was charged twice for the same download?
AWhen you first download an image, the system automatically allocates you 7 days when you can download the file again without having any other points deducted. After this time expires any download is counted again. You should check the My downloads section and if an image is listed twice, email us for a refund (include the file ID).
Top ↑
QCan I receive an invoice for my order? Where can I see my invoices?
AA history of all transactions made from your account is available under your Invoices page. Click this and you will see a list with all transactions made from your account. A printable invoice is available if you click the "Print" button.

QI want to buy a subscription. How many images can I download and when does my subscription end?
A Our plans are designed to award high discounts. The bonus can even exceed 100% in specific cases - yearly subscriptions for instance. No daily limits apply so you can download a month's quota at any time. Please note that you cannot have two subscriptions running simultaneously on the same account. Subscriptions are set to renew automatically and unused downloads are transferred from one plan/month to the next for as long as the subscription is active. If you choose not to renew automatically, your subscription will be time limited and will end at their specified date (usually after 1 month). The end time is not related to the calendar month but to the date at which you made the subscription purchase.
Top ↑
QDo subscriptions ever expire?
AIn order for you to enjoy your downloads without interruption, subscriptions are set to renew automatically. You can manage your payment settings on this page here. If you opt not to renew automatically, then your subscription is time limited and will give you access to a specific number of images for one, three, six or twelve months, depending on the plan selected. When the specified period has passed, the subscription stops automatically.
Top ↑
QHow do I pay for your media?
AYou can pay online (credit card; all major credit cards are accepted).
Top ↑
QI am a new customer. Which plan should I buy?
AOur plans are tailored to meet various design needs. If you use images on a monthly basis, then a higher plan is suggested, in order to take advantage of the higher discounts. If you need less images or you need images on occasional basis, choose a less expensive or a time-limited plan, monthly subscriptions for instance.
Top ↑
QHow can I buy images from Megapixl?
ATo download media from Megapixl, you need to add any of our subscriptions to your account. The plan is instantly added after payment and you can start your downloads in seconds. Our plans are available here. For a customized offer, feel free to contact our support service here. We'd be happy to help.
Top ↑
QWhat license is granted with your media?
AMegapixl grants its customers two main types of license agreements: Commercial Royalty free license and Editorial Royalty free license. For commercial usages not included in the standard RF agreement, Megapixl offers a wide variety of Extended licenses to ensure we cover your needs. If you have doubts regarding the license required for your usage, send us a message here.
Top ↑
QDo I have to give credit line for the media used?
AProviding a credit line helps copyright protection, it shows you acknowledge the copyright holder and it protects our contributors' intellectual property rights. The credit line is optional for most commercial usages. If you are able to add credit line, you're welcome to do it. For editorial usages and contexts, the credit line is compulsory. You can retrieve the credit line format easily from your download archive after you download the media.
Top ↑
QCan I use your images on business card?
AYes, you can. If the design of the business card is unique, meaning you don't sell the same design to different companies or you use it for your own business cards, you can use the images as long as the total number of cards (for all employees) doesn't exceed 500,000 copies. Note that the images cannot be used as part of a logo with any type of license that we provide, except for the SR-EL license (Sell the rights) which covers this usage.
Top ↑
QCan I use the media I buy from Megapixl in more than one project?
AIf each project is different as a concept (not a template based presentation) then you can use the media for more than one client, you don't have to buy them twice. If the concept is the same you cannot use the images because this will be seen as redistribution. The total number of copies shouldn't exceed 500,000 copies. Note that if more than a single person within your company will be using the image, then you will need to license it using the Unlimited seats (U-EL) extended license.
Top ↑
QI can't find my download. Can I redownload free of charge?
AIn case of a download failure, Megapixl allows you to re-download the same media file free of charge. No other points will be deducted IF you download the same version and license. To re-download, see link in your download archive in My Downloads.
Top ↑
QI want to use your image on a postcard. Can I do that?
AThe images downloaded using the regular Royalty Free license can be included on postcards sent to a company's clients and/or partners ONLY if the postcard is advertising the company's services and products, thus is an advertisement. You cannot sell these postcards and the maximum amount should be less than 500,000 copies. Our images can be used in postcards that are to be resold ONLY if you acquire the P-EL (extended license for print).
Top ↑
QI have a transaction on Megapixl which I did not make. Why was my card charged?
AYou have purchased a monthly subscription, which automatically renews itself every month. This gives you permanent access to our large collection of images, more than one million files received monthly. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your Payment Management section. All subscriptions will transfer unused downloads to the next subscription, until canceled. This way you can still enjoy all downloads if you weren't able to come back more often on the website.
Top ↑
QI don't want my plan to expire. Will my plan renew automatically?
AIn order for you to enjoy the same prices, not to run out of downloads and benefit from our services without interruption, our payment plans have an automatic renewal option available. The renewal is performed monthly, quarterly, yearly or after you run out of downloads, depending on the plan acquired, and will be made for the same plan at the same price you initially enjoyed on your previous purchase. Discount and promotion plans/packages will renew at regular rates, unless otherwise specified.
You can at any time switch to a different plan or change the settings for the automatic charge by simply accessing your Payment management page. In addition, our payment policies also include a refund policy.

QI saw an image costs $0.20 but when I go to the site the price differs. Why is that?
AOur media can be downloaded using subscription plans. The price/image differs from plan to plan and we strongly recommend you check carefully all download options to decide which one best fits your needs. The $0.20 advertised as "as low as" is the price you would pay/image if you purchase our yearly subscription. The longer the subscription period, the less you pay /media.
Top ↑
QThe image looks blurry when compared to the thumbnail. Why is that and what can I do?
AAll media may appear slightly blurred when submitted. Our comp files for instance, have been resized from the original large size files submitted and are therefore slightly postprocessed. If after downloading the file looks blurry, we recommend you apply a small sharpen effect (preferably using Unsharpen Mask in Adobe Photoshop). This can be achieved using any photo editing software available.
Top ↑
QSome extended licenses are not available. If I need an extended license and it is not available, what should I do?
ACertain commercial extended licenses (P-EL. W-EL and SR-EL) are optional for contributors. You can ask for any of the optional licenses to be enabled using the request option available on the media detail page, Tools tab below the thumbnail. We recommend you allow 5 days for a reply. If no reply is provided, we recommend you look for a replacement in order to avoid delays with your project. Alternatively, you can contact support to have your request forwarded to the contributing photographer/artist.
Top ↑
QCan I use your media in web templates?
ASuch usage is allowed only for media downloaded using the W-EL license. Media downloaded using the regular Royalty Free license CANNOT be used within web templates supposed to be resold to more than one customer or by any means which can be seen as a way of reselling or redistributing the images. Media downloaded using the regular Royalty Free license can be used in templates designed for a SINGLE client, templates that are part of the same site's layout (e.g. as the layout for a subpage is common to many pages from the same site, a common term among webdesigners names it a template, but this doesn't mean that the template is to be sold to more than one customer). If you have any doubts about a usage please contact support.
Top ↑
QIs there a limit to the number of copies for your media?
AThe total number of copies in which you include the media should not exceed 500,000 copies for the Royalty Free license. This doesn't apply for electronic use. If you exceed this number, you will have to acquire the I-EL (increase maximum copies) extended license which allows you to print unlimited copies. The I-EL license applies only to the regular Royalty Free / Editorial license. For usage types as the ones from the W-EL license or P-EL license you have unlimited number of copies.
Top ↑
QCan I use the same media in more projects with the same license I bought in the past?
AYou can use the same media in more than one project. If the new usage is included under the same license and meets all requirements (total maximum amount of printed copies) then you don't need to pay once again for the image. If, however, the new usage is not included in the previous license (such as a royalty-free-old usage VS. selling postcards-new usage) you will have to acquire a new license, one that is appropriate for your new usage.
Top ↑
QI need an extended license for my usage. Do I need to buy both Royalty free license and extended license?
ANo, you do not need to purchase both licenses. If you need extended license for your usage, then you purchase only this specific license. The standard Royalty free license is included in all our extended licenses anyway.
Top ↑
QMy file downloaded completely but I cannot open it. What can I do?
AIf the file downloaded completely but your software program doesn't open it, try again using another program and resave it. If you still experience problems contact support. Also, if your browser saved the file/media with an .exe extension, simply remove the ".exe" part from the end of the filename and make sure the files ends with a ".jpg" extension. In order to change the extension of the file under Windows, right click the file and choose "Rename" from the menu. In order to change the extension of the file under Macintosh systems click, hold and press CTRL on your keyboard. Archives/lightboxes may also save as .exe in which case you simply rename them as .zip or remove the .exe extension.

QHow do I download your media?
ATo download media (images or videos), click the small thumbnail on the search results page (if you're using search). You will be directed to the media details page. Some media may be available in extended licenses also - see option for Extended Licenses. All licenses and sizes have an appropriate checkbox which you need to check. Click the DOWNLOAD button and the file should start downloading. Before you download, please ensure you have a subscription in your account. If your account does not show downloads available, you will be directed to the Buy page.
Top ↑
QDo your licenses ever expire?
AMost of our licenses are lifetime granted provided you do not opt for a time limited sell the rights extended license. You pay for the media only once and then you can use it as many times as you like, with restrictions regarding allowed number of copies, single-seat user, etc. For all requirements please see Terms and Conditions. In other words, there are no license fees except the initial fee and no other royalties to be paid except those included in the initial cost.
Top ↑
QDo you have 100 MB images?
AWe mostly use a size in Megapixels (MP) for reference, the standard use in printing and not Megabytes (MB), which is not fully irrelevant because it can vary a lot from one photo to another, even if they have the same size in pixels. Sizes can be always checked on each image details page underneath the thumbnails or in the price table on the right. We mention mainly size in Megapixels (MP) but the vast majority of our files also have the Megabytes (MB) size specified.
Top ↑
QCan I get a copy of the model release associated with the media I bought? Is this free of charge?
AMegapixl keeps copies of model releases for all media that feature identifiable persons. Generally the model signs the release in the presence of a witness. Even with our standard release, you need to request permission to use a model in an image that is associated with sensitive issues. Our terms expressively forbid the use of a model’s image for adult uses. Under certain circumstances you can request a copy of the model release and we will provide a version with the model’s name, address, signature and location removed to protect the privacy of the model. This is free of charge.

QI receive a payment error but my credit card details are correct. What can I do?
AIf you are paying using your credit card, ensure you have included the card code located on the back of your card. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, the card code is the last 3 digit number located on the back of your card on or above your signature line. For an American Express card, it is the last 4 digits at the very end of your card number.
Top ↑
QI've just completed my payment but the subscription was not added. Why?
AThe companies we use for processing the credit cards may sometimes encounter technical problems and you may not be redirected to our site after the transaction. For example if you are using Paypal, ensure you click the "Return to merchant" button, located on their confirmation page. Make sure you follow their instructions and if you still encounter a problem simply send us the confirmation email and we will add the plan purchased to your account.
Top ↑
QIs my license single-seat or multi-seat?
AOur regular Royalty Free (RF) license is a one-person/single-seat license and can be used only by the account owner or his employee, for the company's own projects or clients and cannot be transmitted to another party. If the media is to be used by more employees, then an Unlimited Seats Extended License (U-EL) is required.
Top ↑
QThe file I downloaded is not 300 dpi. What can I do?
AThe images you download are output by different cameras, scanners or other equipment. The default resolution on some of them could be lower than 300 dpi. This doesn't mean that the file is not usable. Before you download a file, first make sure you check the "Print size" in both English and metric systems for both web and print use. Use any graphical software to adjust the image resolution (if you are using Adobe Photoshop, make sure you uncheck the "resample image" option before changing the resolution of the file to 300dpi).
Top ↑
QI changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
AYou may ask support for a refund of your purchase within 30 days from the purchase date. Note that this is possible only if the plan/package purchased has not been used at all. We can refund for individual downloads as well provided these downloads have not been made more than 7 days ago. More on our refund policy here.
Top ↑
QI have a free trial but the images download with watermark. Why?
AThe free trial allows you to download high resolution images to test the quality of the images and service. These images are watermarked and you can use them in comps and mock-ups to see if our library fits your needs.
If you want to use the images in final projects, you need to license them by upgrading to a commercial plan. Once you upgrade to a similar plan, you will receive the free downloads in non-watermarked format + the downloads from the paid plan. This means you get two plans but pay for one - you get one free and one paid. Please note that this applies to upgrades for the same or higher plans.
To get the non-watermarked versions of your free downloads, simply re-download the files from your archive after you upgrade: https://www.megapixl.com/my-account - see the re-download link.
