In the early 1900`s, San Francisco`s Barbary Coast had a reputation that went from coast to coast, with dance halls every where. It was only because of the rumble of the earthquake and fire of 1906 that the area was finally cleaned up. With the change of clubs, and names, the most loved club was the Hippodrome. The Hippodromeis since replace by an artist supply store, but remnants still remain.
