The Mountain pepper, Tasmannia lanceolate, is native to Australia, where it is now considered as a `bushfood` condiment. That is, any food that was consumed by the Aborigines, the original natives, and is now more widely used.
It is now used in everything from chess to various alcohol, as well as export.
