The oldest know time capsule, where you intentionally burry something, not for safe keeping but to be rediscovered at some future time, goes back only to 1795,when Samuel Adams and Paul Revere put some things safely into the cornerstone of the then new Massachusetts State House. It was accidentally rediscovered in 2014 when doing some emergency repair work on the building. That one however, had no instructions for a specific date of when it should be opened. So as to prevent damage to what was inside,it was opened immediately. This Miami Centennial Time Capsule, located in Bayfront Park,is one example of modern time capsule. As seen 16 August 2016.
