Visitors to Lake Bled in Slovenia enjoy its exuberant, fresh and green environment in many ways in summer, one of them is stand-up paddle surfing (SUP) in its turquoise waters while going around the lake contemplating beautiful alpine forest landscapes, magnificent buildings and architectural elements that abound on its shore. It has a railway station to easily reach the area, besides the access by road. It's well known for the small Bled Island inside it, a very photographed landmark that has the pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary.The lake lies in a picturesque environment surrounded by great mountains and forests, and for centuries people has flocked to its shores to enjoy recreation and also medicinal benefits. The remarkable medieval Bled Castle stands above the lake on its north shore.
