The building of Youth Hall was built during the Taisho period in Japan. It is a single-story, four-way sloping roof building. The building has a history of nearly a hundred years. It used to be the Asahi Clinic (Venereal Disease Prevention Center), and it became the Health Laboratory after the restoration. In 1953, it was assigned to the Hsinchu Branch of the Taiwan Provincial Police Force. It was expropriated by the Hsinchu City Government in 1981. In July 1987, the Police Station moved out. In order to preserve the past history, the city government specially regenerated and reused this old building, and combined with the needs of young friends, planned this urban leisure space with historical and cultural significance and functionality.
