The Heroes Grove in Golden Gate Park is fifteen peaceful acres of Coastal Redwoods honoring the brave, fallen men and woman of San Francisco during World War 1.
Along with the trees is a triangular rock with the names of the fallen inscribed, which is the `Gold Star Mothers Rock`.
For the centennial anniversary of the grove, a granite rock entrance sign, on the East side along JFK Drive, was finally added, as were the additional Armistice memorial rocks.
As seen 9 February 2022.
