To help provide the actual power for pumping the water for the irrigation of Golden Gate Park, two windmills were built at the very Western edge of the park. The Dutch Windmill with the surrounding Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden,on the very Northern edge of the park, were both donated by the Queen of Holland,Queen Wilhelmina. This is an especially popular location for tourists and locals alike, when the tulips are in bloom. Completed in 1903,the Dutch Windmill was able to pump 30,000 gallons (113,562 liters) of water per hour. As seen 10 April 2023.
