The Italian Heritage Parade in San Francisco is not the oldest in the country, but it is the longest continuously running Italian Heritage Parade event in the country, going back to 1868. Like similar events in the country,it has grown over the years, this one has included the adjacent neighborhood of Chinatown for some years now,the countries oldest Chinatown. The two have a parade of cars, some carrying local beauty queens, from recent and some from not so recent times. There are also floats and marching bands and a general good time to be had by all. As seen along the streets of North Beach in San Francisco 13 October 2023.
