The building of the Directorate of the Imperial Railways "with sculptures on the roof parapet" was built in 1895. In 1944-1945, it suffered from bombing and during the storming of Konigsberg, but was restored in 1950. Employees of the Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port were accommodated there. The Reichsbahndirektion Königsberg (Reichsbahndirektion Königsberg) was the main governing body of the Imperial Railways in East Prussia until 1945. It was located at the address: Vorstädtische Langgasse 117 121 (modern — Leninsky Prospekt, 111-117). The main task of the department was the management of railways in East Prussia.
