This beebalm plant has turned brown due to the impending Autumn months. It is currently in it's seed dispersal period where it will wilt and dry up. It will then send seeds out to ensure a future generation. I love the brown tubes it has on the top. The stems and leaves below are completely brown. This picture was taken in the East Coventry nature preserve in the wildflower field close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
