The temple is located in Taigu District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, PRC. Founded in 272, and the pagoda was built in 1090. After the fire in Qing Dynasty, only the White Pagoda remained, and was rebuilt in 1904. The White Pagoda is a pavilion-type hollow tower with an octagonal plane, seven outer layers and nine inner layers, with a total height of 43.7m. There is a tower room inside, and steps on the east side can reach the upper floors.
