On Saturday 21 January 2023 was the 19th annual Pro Life, Walk For Life West Coast, again held in San Francisco, beginning in the Civic Center Plaza and walking to the Embarcadero Plaza. People of all races and all religions and all generations came from all over the West Coast, looking into all kinds of information booths. There were speakers, by woman who themselves had abortions and have regretted it ever since. Woman whose own mother even thought of having them aborted, and one who even had, only she survived and now has children herself. Although the African American population is one of the smallest across America, they have one of the highest abortion rates in the country. Angela Minter, having already had two abortions and was considering a third, is now happily married with the man she was pregnant from at the time considering her third abortion, and is now ministering in the African American community, from her own personal experiences about the very real horrors of abortions. And, it was her own mother who had tried, unsuccessfully, to have her aborted. There were also a very small but very vocal group of counter protesters along the route of the march, and the San Francisco Police did a very good job of keeping the two groups peacefully apart. There were also a couple of counter protester mingled in with the Pro Lifers, who were evident only by their signs.
