Covering an area of 0.2 square kilometres or 49 acres, the Jurong Bird Park is currently the worlds largest bird park in terms of the number of birds, and second largest both in the number of bird species and land area. It was slated to be relocated to the north of Singapore Mandai in 2020, but the move has been pushed backed to 2022 due to COVID-19. It has also reduced its opening days from Thursdays to Sundays, from 1 July 2021.
