Carrbridge is an 18C village in the Scottish Highlands on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. It is best known for the old packhorse bridge, from which the village is named. The bridge, built in 1717 is the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands but was badly damaged in the muckle spate of 1829 which left it in the dangerous condition seen today.
