The famous Eilean Donan castle, a Scottish icon, stands in a defensive position at the junction of three sealochs: Long Long, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich, on the western coast of Scotland, It is at the village of Dornie not far from the bridge over to the Isle of Skye. The castle is a reconstruction of an old ruin as the original was destroyed by the government after the Jacobite rebellion. Nowadays it is often used as film setting and as a wedding location.
