The Malaspina dal Verme Castle is located on the hill overlooking Bobbio, in an area rich in historical memories. Built in 1304 by Corradino Malaspina, it remained a Ghibelline stronghold for the duration of his lordship, subsequently the government of the city was entrusted to a mayor who placed it under the protection of the Viscontis who granted it as a fiefdom to the Dal Verme family.
