Built in 1916 and named for San Francisco Police Officer who helped wayward youth,the Peter R. Maloney bridge is an early design by the same Joseph Strauss who did the neighboring 3rd St bridge,and the much more famous Golden Gate Bridge. An additional,separate path was made for pedestrians.
