Kathmandu Durbar Square is a historically and culturally significant site in Nepal, and is one of the three royal palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Chyasin Dega is dedicated to Lord Krishna as Vansagopal (i.e. Krishna playing a flute), built in 1649 by King Pratap Malla in memory of his two dead queens.
