This is a Winter picture of the iconic Gateway Arch located on the bank of the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri, The 603 foot high stainless steel weighted catenary arch was designed by Eero Saarinen, it is an example of Structural Expressionism, this picture also features the top of a freight train, a passing barge on the river, the Old County Courthouse, and the St. Louis skyline. The Arch was constructed 1963-1965. This Monument was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 28, 1987. This picture was taken on February 16, 2018.
