The Songyuan Villa, located in the Meilun Mountain area, Hualien, Taiwan, is the only remaining complete military building from the Japanese colonial period in Hualien County. With its elevated position, it offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and is strategically located for monitoring naval vessels in the waters below. It also provides a clear view of the nearby Nanjichang Airport, making it possible to observe the takeoff and landing of airplanes. The villa is surrounded by dense pine trees, adding to its secretive and secluded atmosphere.
