The Tianhou Temple, located in the Zhongzheng Village of Magong City, is dedicated to the worship of Mazu and was built in 1604, making it the oldest Mazu temple in Taiwan. The temple's architecture was constructed by famous craftsmen from Tangshan, featuring a variety of artistic construction and decoration. The temple also houses the oldest surviving monument in Taiwan, the Shen You-Rong Yu Tui Hong Mao Fan Wei Ma Lang monument, which is displayed in the Qingfeng Pavilion Museum for visitors to see. Additionally, there is a golden plaque presented by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty inscribed with the words Together with Heaven to Accomplish Great Deeds, which is a precious historical artifact for people to pay tribute.
