Just one year after the Bay Bridge opened connecting San Francisco to Oakland, there has been a giant Coca-Cola sign on top of a Bryant Street building. Standing 112 feet above the three story building, that sign has been there since 1937. Lights of all types have become much more energy efficient in the decades since, so Coca-Cola replaced their old sign with a new, much more energy efficient sign, which exactly duplicates the old one in every way, but electric consumption.
