Curb trading, sometimes spelled Kerb trading, is what happenes outside of normal trading hours for stocks, bonds and commodities. With our modern, computerized abilities to buy and sell anything 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it is as active as ever. It is called `Curb` because in the very early days, it was literally done right in the street, right at the curb. The San Francisco Stock Exchange absorbed the San Francisco Curb Exchange in 1938. It was the main trading center in San Francisco for the Pacific Stock Exchange from 1956 until it closed in 2006. As seen 5 October 2022.
