Salvia chiapensis, a type of sage, comes from the very southern part of Mexico, in the province of Chiapas, which is where it gets the name. Although a very attractive ground cover, it is a very poisonous plant, so care must be taken when handling any part of it. As seen in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens of Golden Gate Park 21 March 2022.
