Guadeloupe is an archipelago in the Caribbean.
Grande-Terre enjoys a much drier climate than Basse-Terre. Its coastline is made up of rocky shores but also white sand beaches protected by lagoons. The south-west of the island, called the Grands Fonds, is made up of green hills.
