Stock Photo: Ring Cupped Oak, Quercus Glauca, 9.

ID 246876065 © Peachpappa | Megapixl.com

The Ring cupped oak, Quercus glauca, native to Southern and Eastern Asia, is enjoyed as a food by deer and man alike. Where as the deer can eat the stems and leaves as is, straight from the tree, we can enjoy the acorn, after drying and powdering, to use as a flour, or roasted to drink like a coffee. As seen in Golden Gate Park 4 March 2022.
