The Purple Swedish Ivy, Plectranthus purpuratus, is an exceptionally attractive plant for its naturally occurring purple leaves.
That, in fact, is the only part of its name that is accurate. It is neither native to Scandinavia at all, or is it a vine.
It is called `Swedish` because it was first used as a hanging houseplant in Sweden.
As seen in Golden Gate Park 8 February 2022.
