Pictured Is Plaque On The Veterans Memorial Just Adjacent To The Old Well House In Front Of City Hall In Lewisville, Texas. The Plaque Was Part Of An Older 1972 Memorial Dedicated By V.f.w. Post 9168. It Was Incorporated In A New Memorial Dedicated In 2003 By The City Of Lewisville The Memorial`s Base Is Made Of Stone, With A Headboard On Which The Five Emblems Of The Armed Forces Of The United States Are Mounted - Army, Navy Marines, Air Force, And Coast Guard. A Sloped Granite Slab Rests Atop The Base, With The Emblem Of The Veterans Of Foreign Wars At Center. Surrounding It Are Four Older Medallions Representing The Army, Navy, Marines, And Air Force, The Latter Of Which Is The Old Prop And Wings Insignia. These Were Probably A Part Of The Previous 1972 Memorial Placed By V.f.w. Post 9168, Whose Plaque Is Retained Here.
