Old Wayne County Building is designed in Beaux Arts Classicism. It was built as the Wayne County Courthouse. With its pink granite base, ornamental 247-foot tower and classic bronze sculptures, the Old Wayne County Building, located on 600 Randolph Street, is one of the last survivors of pre-Depression Detroit. Work started in October 1897; it was completed in 1902.
