With Castle Rock and part of the Table Mountain chain overlooking these world-famous gardens, tourists flock to see the national flower of South Africa flourishing in the biggest flora kingdom in the world, 92% found in the Western Cape region. the majority of the Protea genus are found further up on the slopes where golf carts do guided tours on all the footpaths surrounding the variety of indigenous plants, cycads, trees and shrubs as one wishes.
