San Franciscos newest park in ten years,In Chan Kaajal Park in the Mission District,translates roughly as 'My Little Town' from the Mayan language,which is appropriate since most of the new immigrants to this part of town since the 1990's are Mayan heritage. The California Condor that is depicted on the fence is the largest bird in North America,and holds much significance to many of the traditional native groups. This park,besides housing a typical children's playground also has an adult gym,greenhouse and community garden,and a stage for public performances. As seen 19 April 2023.
