Pictured is a 14th century Gothic poplar wood sculpture with paint and gilding from Italy of Saint Nicholas of Bari. He was known as the blessing bishop. It is on display in the Cloisters in Fort Tyrone Park in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City. Governed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters specializes in medieval art and architecture with a focus on Romanesque and Gothic periods.
