What is interesting about this simple yet beautiful building is not the fact that it was originally built,in 1930,for the police department training facility, but the architect who designed it,Emil de Neuf,Sr.designed it probably during the period of 1909 to 1910,when he worked as the city architect. During the period of 1938 to 1939 the Works Project Administration,WPA,a President Roosevelt New Deal project, did some improvements to the building. It became the Golden Gate Park Senior Center in 1980,open to all from age 55 and over. As seen 29 April 2023.
