Lin Antai Ancient House is a traditional Fujian-style courtyard building built in the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 200 years and is one of the oldest existing ancient houses in Taipei City. In 1754, Lin Yaogong, whose ancestral home was in Anxi, Quanzhou, moved his family to Taiwan. His fourth son, Lin Zhineng, became successful in running the trading firm Rongtai Hao. He built the Lin family residence Antai Cuo in Da'an District, Taipei City today, which was taken from the Antai Cuo in his hometown of Anxi. An and Tai of Rongtai.Among the immigrants from Quanzhou in the Qing Dynasty, the Anxi people who came to Taiwan the last time mostly lived on the east side of the Taipei Basin, which was developed relatively late. For example, in the Da'an area where the ancient house is located, everything you looked at at that time was rice fields. As for the origin of the place name Da'an, there is a saying that it comes from the meaning of Great Anxi.
