Lux Helsinki light installations took place between 31.12.2011 and 9.1.2012 and brought light to the darkest time of the year. This free-of-charge city event presented five light installations plus fire art performances. Installation in this picture is Variant Spectrum by Jukka Huitila. “Variant Spectrum†illuminated the Olympic Stadium Tower in a colourful spectrum that emphasized its role as one of the main landmarks in Helsinki. Green light scanning the sky is a powerful green laser. Helsinki is a design capital of Europe in 2012.
