This is a Winter picture of a piece of public art as a gravestone marker titled: Eternal Silence located in Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This bronze Art Nouveau sculpture internationally recognized allegorical representation of “death and silence†was sculpted by Lorado Taft in 1909. This sculpture was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 18, 2001. This picture was taken on February 27, 2018.
