This is a Winter picture of the disputed oldest house in Chicago, the Noble-Seymour-Crippen House located in the Norwood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This two-story framed house is an example of Italianate architecture, it was built in 1833. The controversy over being the oldest surviving house stems from the fact that the neighborhood was not incorporated into Chicago until 1893, the Clarke House was built in Chicago in 1836. This house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 10, 2000. This picture was taken on February 27, 2018.
