A crested Cockatiel drinking at the water's edge. These entertaining birds fly in noisy flocks in huge numbers. when they stop flying to feed or drink they always have at least one bird as a lookout for any danger. Being very flighty birds they take off in unison in an instant. This little male at Lara Wetlands in Central Queensland, Australia was enjoying his drink without any danger close by. These birds are also kept as pets when hand reared.
