Stock Photo: Chilean Rhubarb, Gunnera Tinctoria, 4.

ID 248345541 © Peachpappa | Megapixl.com

The Gunnera tinctoria is commonly known as Chilean rhubarb as the two look very similar, especially from further back, but that is all they have in common. The two are not related at all. Native to Chile, it was being used ornamentally around the world, but now is being considered as invasive due to the massive leaves make so much shade, they prohibit other plants from taking any hold at all. As seen in the San Francisco Botanical Garden of Golden Gate Park 23 March 2022.
