This is a picture of Casa Montejo or House of Montejo located on the South side of Grande Plaza in. Merida, Mexico on the Yucatán Peninsula. The structure was built in 1549, housed soldiers before becoming the home of Francisco de Montejo, his family members lived there until 1970. Featured above the entrance are large statues of conquering conquistadors above small statues of the conquered natives. This picture was taken on January 13, 2017.
