It has been speculated that the Paleolithic cave painting,going back some 40,000 years,may have used some primitive pin hole camera,a very early Camera Obscura. The earliest known document about one comes from China,ascribed to Mozi,from the 4th century BCE. This Giant Camera,built in 1946 as an attraction to the very near by Cliff House Restaurant,are both now closed. As seen 12 February 2018.
