This is a Summer picture of Bellevue Place located in Batavia, Illinois in Kane County. This structure was designed by Elijah Shumway Town as a school, in 1867 it was sold and became Bellevue Place a rest home and sanitarium, in July of 1875 the widow of President Abraham Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln was committed to Bellevue Place. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 13, 1976. This picture was taken on August 24, 2017.
