John W Thomas who used to be the President of the 1897 Centennial Exposition of Tennessee. He was also a native of Nashville and said to be an upstanding person. I love how this statue stands here and reminds of us history and makes us want to research and see why this is here. There are the words Mechanical and Transportation engraved in the front part of this. The statue seems to be very welcoming. This is in Centennial park by the Parthenon in Nashville Tennessess.
