This monument of John W Thomas was erected due to him being the President of the 1897 Centennial of the exposition of Tennessee. During this time, the Parthenon was created to serve as the festival's art gallery. In the front of this statue, the words Mechanical and Transportation are engraved. This statue shows him holding out his hand in a welcoming manner. This picture was taken in Nashville Tennessee.
