Autumn.The descent to the river Neva in the city center The fortress was founded on 16 (27) may 1703 by joint plan of Peter I and the French engineer Joseph Lambert de Guerin: 6 bastions connected by curtains, 2 Ravelin, Kronverk (the original wood-land, in the 1730s—1740 and 1780-ies dressed stone). Vasilievsky island — the Eastern end of Vasilievsky island in St. Petersburg; one of the most fascinating architectural ensembles of the city; an example of harmony of architecture with the landscape of the banks of the Neva.
