The small Spanish island of Menorca contains many examples of a prehistoric culture unique in the Mediterranean Sea region: small towns, tombs and cemeteries... which are called Talayotic Menorca.Since September 18, 2023, Talayotic Menorca is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.In the photograph we see the Es Tudons naveta, the most emblematic funerary monument in Menorca, a type of tomb that is only found on this island.It is called “naveta” because of its inverted ship shape (“naveta” means small ship in Spanish).
