Empty streets of abandoned houses at Humberstone ghost town, a former nitrate mining and processing town in the Atacama desert. Like nearby Santa Laura, the town's fortunes declined along with global demand for the product, and it was finally abandoned in 1960. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
