A Naiyandi Dancer performs during the Esala Perahera in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Naiyandi Dancers move with lightning steps and arm movements and are similar in style to Kandyan Ves Dancers. The Esala Perahera is held to honour the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha which is enshrined within the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and is considered one of the most colourful processions in the world.
